End of Summer 9-7-09
Growing up, sunshine and swimming equaled summer break. I was never far from a warm lake, cool river or a friend’s backyard pool.
I now live in a much more urban area that tends to be cold and foggy during the summer months and the chilly gray has left me longing for some serious pool time!
So as summer draws to a close, I find myself daydreaming about warm sun, soft, clear, soothing water and an ultimate day by the pool…

It’s easy to find funky chairs in pairs or sets of four.
Keep a pair in your entry hall or in the bedroom to later pull up to the dinner table when more guests arrive. Feel free to mix-n-match.

Father’s Day
6-21-09
On this Day of the Dad I would like to share a picture of mine (I am lucky to have two) and say how thankful I am for all they have done for me and how much their support has meant to me while launching my business.

I am super pleased to share that I am featured in the San Francisco Chronicle’s Stylemaker’s Spotlight by Anh-Minh Le for their Father’s Day edition. Here is the link to the article:

Some of my favorites that were highlighted…
Re finished 1970’s credenza. I found this piece at a charitable second hand store. I liked the shape and the hardware but the original dark wood was dated and not very interesting. I had it spray lacquered (in water based paints) to compliment the Alex Hank print for a bold statement. Vargas Restoration
Living Library. These built-in shelves are near the entryway and tend to be a catch-all for anything new that comes in the door. They are constantly evolving and defining the moment while small trinkets from travels are added to books and art.
Champagne. Art Deco Goddess Glasses are super fun and festive. Whether they are heirlooms or an estate-sale find, I encourage you to use your crystal and finer china to celebrate even if it’s just Wednesday.
